Will all my Magento extensions break when I migrate to Hyvä?
No. Backend-only extensions (most SEO modules, email, order processing, marketing automation) work unchanged. Frontend extensions (checkout, popups, mini-cart, layered nav) need a Hyvä-compatible build, most paid vendors have shipped one by 2026.
How accurate is the official Hyvä compatibility tracker?
Very accurate for paid vendor modules, vendors actively submit their Hyvä builds to the tracker. Community modules vary; treat green as "high confidence" and yellow as "test in staging first".
Do I have to pay for the Hyvä compat package separately?
It depends on the vendor. Amasty and Mageplaza bundle Hyvä compat with the base module licence, no extra fee. Some smaller vendors charge a 30-50% Hyvä compat surcharge. The Hyvä-themes-by-Hyvä compat packages are usually paid separately.
Are the mage2kishan modules really Hyvä-compatible out of the box?
Yes. Every module under vendor/mage2kishan/module-* in 2026 ships Hyvä-compatible templates where a storefront frontend is needed. The backend modules are theme-agnostic.
What about Magento PageBuilder, does it work on Hyvä?
Yes. Hyvä ships a PageBuilder compatibility module since v1.1, content blocks created in PageBuilder render in Hyvä storefronts. There are edge cases with custom PageBuilder content types from third parties; test in staging.
Can I use Hyvä's own checkout with custom payment methods?
Yes. Hyvä's checkout is built on top of Magento's core checkout APIs, so any payment method registered through the standard Magento payment-method config works. Custom UI components need Hyvä templates.
What if an extension I need has no Hyvä compat?
